New Amtico floor installed in Manchester
Beautiful new Amtico floor installed in Manchester kitchen
We started by applying Ardex screed. This is a brilliant product to use to level the floor and ensure the best subbase for the top layer to be installed on to. It is a self-levelling and smoothing compound. While laying this might make the process of fitting a new floor a little more costly and time consuming, it will guarantee a quality finish and add to the longevity of your flooring, saving you money in the long term.
While the units were all assembled and in place, we were able to tile the whole area not just up to and around the units but underneath them as well. You can see what we mean from the photographs included.
Our clients opted for Amtico Cornish Oak. The Cornish Oak is described as creating “a beautiful sun-bleached tone” with a “fresh and simple finish” making it perfect for a modern, sleek looking kitchen like our clients had. It is also highly durable and robust making it the ideal floor for a kitchen/diner where there is always heavy footfall and where spills and breakages are more likely.
With this type of flooring you can also choose how the pattern is laid. In this instance it was laid in Herringbone style. As an Amtico fitter in Manchester, you can see the stunning results we produced from the photographs included.
