Karndean Flooring Fitted From Room to Room!

Cheadle Floors is a Karndean fitter in Manchester and we recently installed new luxury vinyl flooring throughout a large section of the downstairs of a house in Manchester. Our clients chose to have Storm Oak in basket weave from the Karndean Art Select range. Described by Karndean as “cool grey tones that combine traditional planks and key squares” this range of flooring, while creating a traditional pattern, also presents a modern twist with the colouring and shading.

Our clients decided that they wanted to have the same Karndean flooring run from room to room downstairs. You can see what rooms this included from the photographs. We laid the new flooring in the hallway, lounge and dining room.

We began the process by fitting sp101 ply wood across the whole area. This is done so as a to ensure a level surface. We then applied a flexible screed over the top of this in order to give a perfect smooth finish for the vinyl tiles to be put on top of and finally the floor tiles were laid over it. Fitting the flooring together to create the required pattern can be likened to putting the pieces of a jigsaw together, however we have the expertise to do this quickly and efficiently, saving you the time.

As you can see from the photographs there were a few tricky little areas that we had to navigate around. However, as an experienced Karndean fitter in Manchester and with our years of experience laying luxury vinyl tiles, as well as many other types of flooring, this didn’t present a problem.
